eccentricafrochild:
Anyone who says this is trying to antagonize black pride .. or they’re truly racist.
Black pride comes from resistance. Black pride comes from survival. We as a people have endured and are currently enduring rape, torture, racism, inferiority complexes, colonialism, segregation, a biased judicial system and being at the fucking bottom of bottoms. THAT IS what the fuck we are...

Did you want to do a project for PoC? Do you want to help PoC get into the media? Then support their indie endeavors! I can think of four off the top of my head: Peecharrifica’s nail salon business, for which, I last checked, she needed to raise $3K for. Eshusplayground’s play, which you can read about here. Rosegold’s project, which is a story-game written...

Popular Dutch Magazine Calls Black Girls Like... →
howtobenoladarling:
Eva Kroes, editor of Jackie Magazine which boasts thousands of readers in its circulation and has been around for at least 3 years, decided to use the term “N*ggab*tch” as an article title in the most recent issue in relation to Rihanna and other black women. And had the audacity to use it as though it was a term of endearment.

There’s a Republican-led proposal in the pipeline that threatens to rob more than 9 million low-income students of the opportunity to finance a college education, and the progressive political activists of Color of Change seek our help in defeating it. It’s common knowledge that higher education costs are skyrocketing, saddling recent grads with unprecedented debt. This new measure backed by...
